Finding people to work on projects with is not an automatic or predictable process, and it requires a significant amount of human interaction to establish a sense of compatibility. A forum provides a platform for direct responses and facilitates this interaction. However, participation is a key challenge in this medium. Generating participation on the modern internet, which tends to favor passive consumption, is a delicate task, but it is also at the heart of the problem. The question is how to gather people with similar interests and create enough trust and respect within the group so that they can collaborate outside of traditional work structures. Our goal is to facilitate the first steps in the creation of associations, startups, and simple projects, providing a space where people can meet, discover each other’s talents, and begin to think, “We can do this together.”
